This stunning, porcelain-enameled building was designed by famed architect Richard Meier and is rivaled only by the art inside. Featuring American, European and African art, as well as decorative art and photography, the High Museum boasts a permanent collection of over 11,000 pieces, many of which can be viewed from different levels of the four-story, glass atrium.

I always plan to spend a few hours at the High when I come to Atlanta. The museum has an excellent permanent collection and always has very interesting traveling exhibits. I've seen a Frida Kahlo exhibit, Picasso to Warhol, as well as a Cezanne show here. Buy/rent the audio guides. First class.

I love going to the High Museum and miss it now that I no longer live in Atlanta. They always have so many fun events going on. This is a perfect place to visit if you're by yourself, on a date, in a group or with kids. There's something for everyone and it's educational. The next time your in Atlanta,... More

Visiting the High Museum has all the pleasure of other museums with wonderful curatorship and an architecturally interesting space, but it's not as crowded as all those other places! You can really wander and let the art speak to you. It has significant holdings in quite a few fields. I was particularly impressed by their contemporary painting selection. I saw... More

The building is beautiful and easy to navigate. There were several special exhibits that were exceptional. The museum is fairly small (compared to ones in NYC or Chicago), but it has a terrific folk art collection.

The museum is always nice. Not particularly good for young children unless they just like art and asking questions. For adults there are some great exhibits. Note active military get free parking and admission. Check the website or call for additional details on that.

Best place in the ATL to meet the wine sipping, likely tedious, well kept doll of you dreams. Solid entertainment for the pretending well to do. Maybe dady's money..but hey with thoes gams, you're going to have your game on. Study the online programing to find the discount tickets. Study the artist and learn something you troll. Good fun

This is an interesting museum, architecturally and collection wise. Our visit was about an hour, which is not enough time. It is not an inexpensive museum and the fee for three of us was so close to an entry level membership, my son bought one on the recommendation of the ticket saleswoman. The architecture is soaring and allows for a wonderful... More
