Focused Fun

Always engaging and always fun. About the only thing left would be to have it not look like it was built in the 1970's or earlier.

First, remember that kids love puppets...so don't go expecting a museum atmosphere. Older puppet/muppet fans will love this place. From the moment you walk in and see those giant Pinocchio legs coming out of the ceiling, you know it's going to be just what you expected. Miss Piggy on display, the puppet history room, the puppet show...added up to a... More

I would not visit here again unless the entry fee was reduced. Yes there are a great assortment of puppets, but it is extremely too high verses paying to go just across the street and see a part of history for less than half the price.

We visited for the first time last week and were blown away. All of the puppets on display are so unique and interesting to look at that everyone young and old enjoyed it. Best of all was the puppet show. It's so easy when you're doing several performances a day to "phone it in" but the staff was up beat... More

We'd visited the Center for other shows but it had been a while so during Spring Break we took our son for the Paul Bunyan show. They're in the process of remodeling but we enjoyed the new layout and exhibit area. This time we got there extra early so we could do the puppet workshop. My son enjoys making things... More

This place is neat, even for adults without kids. Characters created by Jim Henson are on display. If you can also visit for a show, the kids will love it as well.

The performance Rainforest Adventures was worth the ticket price alone. Very high quality production that entertained children and adults in equal measure. You can spend 30 mins in the museum before and 30 mins after making a puppet - allow 2 hours total.

The performance was amazing. They employ truly talented puppeteers. The rest of the place (craft afterwards and the museum ) is kinda cheesy. If you are on a really strict budget, do a craft w your kids at home and just pay for the show.

The puppet show, Rudolph was great, comfortable theater, great actors. Really loved how the puppeteers did a quick educational piece and showed the different puppets at the end. We also made the puppet project, and toured the museum, which badly needs updating, but still cool to see a few Muppets from the 70s (Pigs in Space) and other Henson puppets.... More

This was an awesome place to take my neices: girls ages 7 and 9. We saw the Wizard of OZ! The gentleman who put on the show came out and talked to the crowd and introduced a puppet and what he was capable of doing with him - how the strings worked and how to make the puppet seem life-like....
