Came here with friends to pass the time before Afropunk. We visited a thrift shop, a spiritual shop and bought some crystals, and a delicious hole in the wall Thai restaurant.

I only visited during the day and walked around. It is a cool neighborhood. There was so much to see and the people were friendly. I am sure this place comes alive at night there just wasn’t enough time for me to get there.

Hadn’t been back here in years but not much changed. A lot of little eclectic shops, bars and restaurants. Fun area if you’ve never been.

Vortex is definitely an awesome place. However, there other restaurants just as good like Savage Pizza or Wrecking Bar Brewpub.
