This castle and the walled village of Soave from a distance looks like a picture out of a child's fairytale book. The castle itself is very approachable by foot and by car. It overlooks the walled village below and is a great place for photographs and imagination!

9€ for an adult allows u a beautiful view over the historic city of Soave! Climbing up is easy but for not people with disabilities, they can go by car though.

The weather was great, so we got to see all of Soave, and the suroundings, from the top of the castle. Beautiful view!

You need good walking shoes and a bit of stamina to get to the top! Openning hours are from 9-12 or from 3-6 pm , so make sure you visit the place this time. Breathtaking view from the castle!

The castle is very beautiful and there is lots of ruins to see! If you have children they will like it! Or if you are on your own or as a couple it is a beautiful scenery! This castle is extremely impressive. The construction is perfectly well preserved outside. Inside you can experience the way how the medieval people used to live. Good view of the region with the wonderful landscape of Veneto. So interesting to enjoy the Italian living experience!

Although unplanned, seeing this castle was a perfect start to our Italian vacation with Soave as a 1-night stop heading west from Venice airport. The castle is easily doable because not very large but not commercialized as many of the famous ones, but had an authentic old world charm. Good for exploring on your own without guide, but do pay... Dont forget to stop by the innkeepers home and pay your ticket to head up to the castle. No photography is allowed- you can always visit the official website and see great ones. Lots of steps!!

The castle is early Medieval, so it's not huge. It's well-preserved and beautiful. Most of the castles in the area are in ruins, but Soave has been well-maintained. There are some interesting old pieces of furniture in the castle along with some other artifacts. From the top there's an excellent view of the surrounding hills. If you're interested in castles,...
