I visited Cantina Fongoli on a rainy Sunday and received a truly warm welcome and well presented wine tasting, plus a contine tour with the winemaker and owner, Decio Fongoli. He did a great job of enduring my not impressive Italian and filled in with his English skills and good vineyard maps, wine description sheets and - of course -... More

We've known the family for more than 10 years now and visit them every year in the occasion of "Cantine Aperte". Great products: organic wines and olive oil. The family takes great pride in their heritage and produces wine following traditional techniques. Don't miss tasting the Passito di Sagratino, surprisingly different from maybe better known passitos from southern Italy. The... More

When we lived in Montefalco, Italy, one of our delights was to buy our wines from the local cantinas. Every other week, we would go to Cantina Fongoli, buy 4-6 bottles of their incredible wines - almost always getting Montefalco Rosso, because it was our favorite. Everyone there treats you like family when you arrive, making sure you get what... More

We have been visiting Fongoli for several years now and it is ALWAYS a great experience! The wines are award winning and the range is wide. From the selection of sfuso wines (filling up your own containers) to the exceptional Montefalco Sagrantino Secco D.O.C.G. "Vigna dei Sospiri", and then there's the olive oil ...! With the family on hand to... More

We visited Cantina Fongoli as part of our Gusto Wine Tour. They had a good selection of wines, were super nice and it was cool to meet the wine makers themselves. Fongoli recently won the Gold Medal in the International Wine Challenge with their 2006 Montefalco Sagrantino, which should put them on the wine lovers' map. Their Sagrantino is delicious... More
