Good video explaining why Veterans serve to protect our freedoms. Free to the public. Volunteers are very friendly and eager to share information. One is a veteran that had to crawl out onto the tail wing of a WWII bomber to bail out.

I was surprised at how large the museum is, and how worth a visit. There are volunteers there (I think) who are happy to offer tours. The outside area with the large statue and the flame are quite lovely, and the views are stunning. Very...More

Truly awe inspiring. Even in the city there is such a sense calm, respect and reverence for those, that this memorial is dedicated to.

Much more than we expected. If you are into military items, they have a fantastic collection of uniforms and weapons from all eras. Definitely worth the stop.

Have lived in Richmond for over 50 years and never been to the War Memorial. It is a place where you can review history and if you have relatives that participated in some of our nations conflicts maybe even see the part they played.

We did a very quick tour of this museum on our last day in Richmond. It was beautifully done. A nice tribute to those who gave their lives.

I will be coming from the Tredegar Iron works. Where is the best location for parking, off S. Belvidere St. of Rowe St?

There is parking that is easily accessed from Belvidere on both the side and back of the memorial plus there is also on street parking as well.
