Wonderful lunch and Lenten lecture by Bishop John Shelby . Bishop Spong is retiring public life and we came from a long way to see him, he is a voice in the wilderness.

Went to this church on Ash Wednesday and found it very warm and welcoming. The sermon was inspirational, funny and poignant all at once.

This is an historic church which was a popular house of worship for political figures. You can see the pews where Robert E. Lee and Jefferson Davis' families sat. There are also some beautiful Tiffany stained glass windows.
