This was a small informative museum that we enjoyed visiting. The video in the basement was informative. The displays were interesting. The host walking through the museum welcomed us.

Lots of unusual displays covering a multitude of topics from Richmond's history. The flu epidemic and the manufactured products through the years. Civil War artifacts, old maps. Hard to describe, hard to forget.

This museum is top-tier, with guided tour. The museum has taken pains to restore accurately and offers a good idea of how life (for the wealthy and slaves of the wealthy) lived in old Richmond.

I took a walking tour, which was amazing by the way, and admission was included. I planned on only seeing one exhibition, but wandered around the whole place. I enjoyed the section about Richmond businesses & locals view on Monument Ave.
