The canal itself was beautiful and the guide, although a little snarky, was easy to hear and provided interesting historical information about the area. However, the tour boats are so uncomfortable and crowded to the point of being almost unsafe. If the tour boat is...More

The tour was nice, the tour narrator was informative. but the tour was nothing like I expected. I expected more of a commercial area tour, not just factories. You are also crammed onto the boat and have to sit sideways to avoid bumping knees.

An okay tour to take if you have some extra time while in DT Richmond. Tour guide was good and the history is interesting, but the area covered by the canal boat is okay.

Had 5 kids (baby-10years) in tow and all enjoy the boat ride. Got some good history, saw parts of Richmond that we hadn't before and from a different view. Nice touristy thing to do!

Enjoyed this a lot! Great historical information. Only $8 so well worth it! Would be nice if tour was longer but the rest must be done on foot.

These riverfront canal cruises offer a relaxing way to view wildlife along the canal, centuries-old brick warehouses, new lofts and office buildings, iron railroad trestles and soaring highways that meet at the famed Triple Crossing which is the intersection of three key transportation routes.
