Plan to spend about two hours here. There’s a temporary exhibit on murals inspired by artifacts in the museum. And then there’s a permanent history exhibit. Both are very well done and informative.

Suitable for all ages. I would have appreciated more emphasis on the Civil War era but that is covered by other area museums. Children of an appropriate age will learn a great deal.

This museum has so much to offer the whole family. The exhibits range from an art gallery to interactive programs for kids. Many of the exhibits are not just artifacts but in many ways you can see history come to life.

This museum derives from the Battle Abbey, which was erected in 1912 to commemorate the South's 'Just Cause' in the Civil War. The Museum is quite extensive. The two exhibits we saw were to do with Virginia's contribution to the Allied cause in World War...More

Really enjoyed the museum, lots to see concerning the Civil War.Helps one to understand all the complexities of that era and the war.
