We went for the holiday light display and it was amazing. While it was night and we couldn't see the gardens, we were able to access a number of the buildings and really enjoyed the displays. Will definitely go back for a day visit.

Been there several times for the butterflies exhibit, the day lilies and most recently for the Christmas light show. I understand that it is one of the top gardens in America and after going would like to see the gardens in Philadelphia.

I visit when I see my daughter -- several times a year. It is always lovely, well kept, and interesting. The only downside is the cafe -- mediocre at best -- but I didnt want to lower my rating for the whole gardens because of...More

Don’t miss a stroll through these lovely gardens in Richmond. Well designed, safe kid-friendly spaces encourage both activity and contemplation. The 2 1/2 year old likes running up the path to the tree house and also watching the ducks. I notice these gardeners prune lightly....More

The grounds are well kept in winter and everything is labeled. Daffodils were not up yet and they have hundreds. The Conservatory is small but very nice. The gift shop wasn't open on Mondays

Thanks for your review, Brooke. You are correct; visitation increases the closer we get to Dec. 24/25 (and we’re closed those nights). Some people like the excitement of that time, but for those who don’t, that’s a good recommendation to visit earlier or later in...More

Good morning, Spring, summer or fall would be better for maternity photos. You can learn more about our photo policy on our website. Click on "Facility Rental" and then "Photography".

Still plenty to see in October both outdoor and indoor in their large greenhouse. The orchids are especially nice. Also they often have special events on weekends which are often enjoyable.
