As a historian, a national parks fan, and a dad of three little kids, I enthusiastically recommend Lowell. It is perhaps the most informative, well-planned, and fun historical park we have been to -- the Junior Ranger program is AWESOME! We only had an hour...More

This Visitor Center is excellent. Go before 4:30 pm to hear and see the mill working. Be certain to see the second floor displays; really good. Jr. Ranger is very good and a beautiful patch can be earned.

You have to experience it to realize how little you know about the world of textile. A must visit. Lowell is just an incredible city. The high school 's history alone will be quite an eye opener.

Free trolley tours and reasonable canal boat tours. Explains a great deal about the history of Lowell and the worker's experiences.

Really nice tour lead by nice guides. You ride the trolley and take a nice boat ride through a lock with a lot of interesting history along the way. Our 11 year old really liked it too! $12 for adults and $8 for children and...More

Such an interesting national park! It made me so proud to have booked Minuteman Campground. We badly needed an oil change after tough drive out of Brooklyn so we only had half a day to see anything around Boston. Lowell was terrific! As GM retirees...More

This is a collection of sites all well worth visiting. Check the calendar to see what is open/running and when. Plan to spend at least a day if you go in late June or July.

We had such a great visit to the Lowell National Historical Park this weekend. Although our children had been on field trips here, neither my husband and I had ever visited. So, we brought my visiting parents here. We parked in the parking near the...More
