We went to Kendall Square after touring MIT. We walked around a bit and eventually stopped for lunch. It is a nice area with a few eating options. There are many big companies with East Coast headquarters here (right outside MIT).

Probably should be renamed MIT Square (T stop). Not many shops but a lot of places to eat and drink and great access to MIT. Some of the best views of the Charles River!

Kendall Square is very conveniently located in Cambridge, just across the St. Charles River from downtown Boston. We stayed at the Marriott Kendall Square which was wonderful. The Red Line of the T is right outside the front door with easy access to downtown. No...More

The T-stops here, and within steps of this stop are a number of great restaurants from Legal Seafoods, to Clover Food Lab and Starbucks. Marriott Hotel is across the street, and the Hop on Hop Off Bus that gives tours of Boston also stops here.

Located in the heart of Cambridge there is lots to see and do at this location. Transit is easily accessible and can take you right to the center of Harvard. MIT is very close by as well.

We stayed in Kendall Square while my husband worked at MIT. My children and I visited Boston for the week. It was a great place to stay for meetings at MIT, but a solid walk across the river to Boston. Also a 45 minute or...More

We loved that the T opened right up to the doorway to the Marriott which gave us easy access to our hotel. The square is small but easy to find and navigate. It's adjacent to the COOP and close to Boston.

Lots going on there, it has changed from a rather industrial/office oriented space to a real neighborhood
