One of many waterfalls in Iceland, this one is unique in that you can walk right up to it. In fact you can walk behind it as well. There is a high staircase leading to a fabulous view from the top, or so we read....More

The waterfall itself is quite the sight to see. You can get close to the bottom of it where you are certain to get wet or you can climb the stairs and see the the view from above. However, there is so much more beyond...More

Nice to see, and the view from the top (428 excruciating steps!) is pretty. There is restaurant but we didn't visit that.

We did not climb up the stairs as our guide said waterfall is the best from the front and it was a great view.

We enjoyed this waterfall. Not too far from the road and parking fairly close. There was a pretty good breeze blowing when we visited so we started getting wet long before we got close to the waterfall but the inconvenience of this was outweighed by...More

Stopped over in Skogar on way around the country. We visited the falls after breakfast and had lovely photos before buses arrived. The falls had began to freeze at the sides on top and the icicles were lovely. You can also walk up to the...More

I think Seljalandsfoss is just a little more impressive (since you can walk 360 degrees around the falls). This is still an incredible waterfall. You can walk right up to the waterfall pool and get soaked! Not far off Ring Road, so its a must-stop...More

Of all the many waterfalls we saw, this was my favourite - especially because you can walk up to the top as well as see it from the ground! The sun was shining, and I have some beautiful photographs with rainbows in them :)

You can camp in the Parking Lot. Toilet is open 24 hours. Someone walks by to collect a camping fee. Can't recall how much it was

Hi yes there's a couple of restaurants and restrooms on site very close to the falls. Hope this helps. Try Seljalandfoss falls about 20km from here it's amazing you can walk behind the falls here.

Skogafoss is just off the main coastal road which is full black top so no issues there. We went in Dec 16, just after heavy heavy rain and the track off the main road was fine, we had a Nissan Micra and it coped without any... More
