This fall is easy to find and has plenty of parking, which is very helpful considering the crowds that attend here. Approaching the falls is a bit icy in the winter, however seeing it up close makes it more than worth it. Do think we...More

This waterfall is located right off the Ring Road, easily seen from the road. A rainbow is regularly seen here because of the mist it produces. There are many steps that you climb to get to a high platform overlooking the top of the falls....More

Park and take a short walk to the base of this waterfall, or take a strenuous hike to the top and look straight down the plumes.

Stopped here when driving back to Reykjavick. Free attraction, free parking, paid toilets available. This was one of the most spectacular falls we got really up close to. It was part frozen and felt like a winter wonderland. Extremely slippery close to the falls though....More

Skógafoss is one of many waterfalls in Iceland. I would say it was one of the prettiest we saw on our brief trip to the country. It is tall and wide providing many spectacular views, and there's a unique viewing platform that can be reached...More

Hello Debbie I can only speak to the time I visited. My visit was the first week of December. I can honestly say that December is a wonderful time to see the northern lights though.
