Named in 2012 as one of National Geographic's “25 Wonders of the World," Blue Lagoon has evolved from its infancy as a reservoir of geothermal runoff into a world of geothermal wonder. The unique properties of its waters provide not only an enchanting lagoon experience, but also the patented, active ingredients in Blue Lagoon skin care: silica, algae, and minerals. Blue Lagoon is located in a sprawling, 800 year old lava field in the heart of the Reykjanes Peninsula – a UNESCO Geopark. Just 20 minutes from Keflavík International Airport and 50 minutes from Reykjavík, Blue Lagoon is simultaneously remote and easily accessible.

Absolutely amazing experience, -4 outside and water temperature 39 degrees, The whole area is immaculate with friendly staff continually cleaning. Loved the bracelet being used to lock/open locker and charge any purchases made. Make sure you use waterproofing for phones and cameras. An absolute must...More

Yes it was expensive! Yes everything in Iceland is expensive! Yes it was worth it! It's one of those 'must dos'! The water is incredibly warm, but not uncomfortable. Immersion leaves your skin feeling like silk. You can stay in or around the pools as...More

Loved our visit to the Blue Lagoon. We bought the premium package which was great. The feeling you get getting in to the water from that cold air is fantastic. A must do if in Iceland.

We booked online with a standard package and paid extra at the desk for a bathrobe. I also bought a beer when I went in the pool so I guess buying the comfort package could have been better. The facility was clean, and very well-managed....More

My partner and I booked tickets to the blue lagoon (8:00pm as it was the only session available months before) and return transfers with Reykjavik Adventures. I was incredibly excited to be going and looked forward to it for months beforehand, however when it came...More

Such an amazing place to go and relax , although the changing rooms are a tad chaotic and could be less stressful! Hooks inside the toilet doors would also be great to hang robes up. The lagoon itself is great and surreal place to spend...More

We had the opportunity during our trip to bathe in a truly natural geothermal spring out in the middle of nowhere so this man-made tourist destination didn't compete. This is probably the most popular attraction in Iceland so it's worth a visit if for no...More

My DW brought along a fairly older suit, she had bought me a $9.99 at Walmart before with left on vacation. Didn't notice any fading in my suit after I got home, probably get a second wear out of it 😊

I was at the Blue Lagoon in August at noon. That is a busy time of day. Didn't bother me, but if you want less people go first thing in the morning or late in the afternoon. August was a nice time. Air temp was 50... More
