Overview
More
Named in 2012 as one of National Geographic's “25 Wonders of the World," Blue Lagoon has evolved from its infancy as a reservoir of geothermal runoff into a world of geothermal wonder. The unique properties of its waters provide not only an enchanting lagoon experience, but also the patented, active ingredients in Blue Lagoon skin care: silica, algae, and minerals. Blue Lagoon is located in a sprawling, 800 year old lava field in the heart of the Reykjanes Peninsula – a UNESCO Geopark. Just 20 minutes from Keflavík International Airport and 50 minutes from Reykjavík, Blue Lagoon is simultaneously remote and easily accessible.

I'm sure there are many alternatives, but we enjoyed our trip to the Blue Lagoon. The lagoon itself is big enough so that if there are crowds it's easy to escape them by going for a little walk in the water. Fair warning, eating at...More

We pre booked tickets and transfers through Reykjavik excursions. We had the comfort tickets, one up from standard so had an extra face mask, use of towel and a free drink. Check in takes a while, probably 20 minutes queuing and the changing rooms could...More

The water was warm - in some spots warmer than others - but the few seconds it took to get into or out of the water can be somewhat uncomfortable (it was literally freezing outside ). There is a lagoon side bar where you can...More

A geothermal pool with a massive land, expect loads of people on the pool. Overall it is a very relaxing experience. Must try when you visit Iceland

I loved the blue lagoon! It was really nice and well structured. I expected chaos but the system works perfectly and I never had to queue for anything which is very surprising considering the amount of people! The lagoon itself is really big, although theres...More

I was not aware that this had to be booked ahead of time only. I hadn't made up my mind whether or not I wanted to experience this overpriced hot spring and was eventually dragged there. To my disappointment, I was not granted access due...More

From the moment we arrived the whole process seemed very disorganised. A group tour was in front of us in the queue and nobody explained that we could walk around them and get booked in on a separate till. The locker system was very confusing...More
