On a hot day a visit to these caves was a charming diversion. Quiet reception area that doubles as a cafe area while you wait for your tour, which is about 45 minutes long and our guide spoke really good English. Interesting geology, fairly unique macaroni stalactites. If you like caves, worth a visit.

The tour in the Grottes takes approximately 40 minutes. For us the guide made all the difference. The visit does not require any special moves (no crawling in narrow spaces or walking through water etc.). It is a very accessible tour, suitable for young children. It is quite important that you understand French to get all the details of the... More

Caves are caves everywhere, but some features here made it quite different from other I have seen around the world. The 1st is the existence of estalactites as thin and long as noodles . Locally they designate them as "macarroni" in reference to the Italian pasta. The 2nd interesting thing is the difference in colours between rocks creating very impressive... More

Took my 2 kids (7 & 10) to Les Grottes de Thouzon today. Was a great way to spend an hour. The caves are very beautiful, we all learnt a lot and the staff were very friendly. My son has a bit of a short attention span and he was starting to get a little bored towards the end of... More

The Grottes de Thouzon are part of a larger grouping of caves in the region, but the cave tour here is informative and just long enough. It offered a nice reprieve from the summer heat (we visited in July). The tour (about $10 US per person) is offered in French, but if you happen to be among a group of... More

We visited these caves while we were staying in Orange. They are quite small, the path inside being only about 340m long. There is however a guided tour and the girl taking ours was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. It is only about 13 degrees in the caves, not a problem if you live in Scotland, but they kindly give you... More

Caves are always fun, and especially on a very hot day! We were lucky enough to have a guide just for the two of us, which was much nicer than a tour in a big group. The cave itself is not huge, but has many tites and mites, rock formations in general and certainly enough so that an hour visit... More

We found this site easily. It's not very touristy, but has a good sized carpark and cafe/ shop and loos. There is a fee to visit the Grottes and we had a very good guide who was bi-lingual. If possible, get the guided tour, as although they provide a written guide in various languages, we learned heaps more from the... More

Was a great little cave we really enjoyed visiting. The tour guide tried her best to speak French and translate to English despite being given the English translation on a laminated information sheet. The formations were fabulous, it's a great little discovery close to L'isle sur la sorgue though a little pricey for what it is.
