- Icarus4335Colorado Springs, Colorado806 contributionsGreat ViewsWorth stopping at if you're already going to the Hoover Dam. It's a short walk (stairs or ramp) from the parking lot and you can get some great views of Lake Mead, the Hoover Dam, and the Colorado River. The day we were there it was extremely windy, so hold onto your belongings.Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 28 March 2024

The climb up the steps or ramp to the bridge is tiresome, but is worth it when you see the view of the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead and the Colorado River. Be sure to read the history of the construction of the bridge. This iconic bridge serves as a memorial to Mike O’Callaghan and Pat Tillman. Mike O’Callaghan, a former Governor of Nevada, played a key role in the construction of the bridge. Pat Tillman, a former NFL player, was killed in action while serving in the US Army. The bridge is a fitting tribute to both individuals which serves as a reminder of their legacies and embodies their selflessness and sacrifice.Visited April 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 16 April 2024

You can get to the bridge by parking in the lot off the Hoover Dam Access Road after passing through the security check. It does require quite a climb up steps from the plaza area to the bridge, but the effort is well worth it as this is the best view of Hoover Dam that you will find.Visited June 2023Travelled soloWritten 17 April 2024

We were here in the late summer of 2023. From Las Vegas, there is a parking lot on the left in front of the bridge, also with toilets (a kind of Dixie toilet). To do so, leave the highway and drive onto Hoover Dam Road, which you leave for Bridge Walkway Parking after a short time. You have to go by car through a security checkpoint to get to the parking lot. On our visit he was free of charge.
From there a footpath or alternatively stairs goes up to the bridge (not to the dam). Visiting the bridge is free and the view of Hoover Dam is fantastic. We always like to come here.

VERY breezy. If you have a hat, hold on to it. It is a long way down. The views of the dam are spectacular. Walk up to the bridge is further than I expected. If you are handicapped, a mobility scooter is the best choice. FREE,

We arrived early on a Wednesday in mid March and it was still pretty busy. There were tour buses when we got there and a few more when we were leaving. The walk is uphill, either using the switchback ramp or stairs. It's not too difficult. We walked about 2/3rd of the way across the bridge before heading back. The pictures are pretty amazing. If you was visiting, this is one of the pictures you really need to get.

What a view! There is a parking lot on the Nevada side of the bridge near the Hoover Dam access. There are memorial panels about the bridge. The path / stairs from the lot to the bridge is steep, although there is a ramp all the way up. The view of the Hoover Dam is spectacular. Equally amazing is the view up at the bridge from the Hoover Dam access road.

A very worthwhile experience. Great view and somewhat thrilling. The bridge shakes whenever the big rigs are going by. Nice place for pictures and to get a good walk.

One of the best place to have a full view of the Hoover Dam from top. IKt also have history and great achievement of the Bridge as well as Hoover Dam written in different place which is great to learn. Few things:
1. Its a must to see in my view if some one wants to have a great view of the Hoover Dam
2. The washroom are pretty bad - so best would be to avoid
3. It will need some stair climbing and walking on the bridge - so for weak / old people, may not be very ideal
