Worth stopping at if you're already going to the Hoover Dam. It's a short walk (stairs or ramp) from the parking lot and you can get some great views of Lake Mead, the Hoover Dam, and the Colorado River. The day we were there it was extremely windy, so hold onto your belongings.

The entire Hoover Dam and this awesome bridge are must see sights when in the Las Vegas area. The climb up the steps or ramp to the bridge is tiresome, but is worth it when you see the view of the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead and the Colorado River. Be sure to read the history of the construction of the bridge. This iconic bridge serves as a memorial to Mike O’Callaghan and Pat Tillman. Mike O’Callaghan, a former Governor of Nevada, played a key role in the construction of the bridge. Pat Tillman, a former NFL player, was killed in action while serving in the US Army. The bridge is a fitting tribute to both individuals which serves as a reminder of their legacies and embodies their selflessness and sacrifice.

Also known as the Hoover Dam Bypass, this is a highway bridge that spans the Colorado River, but which has a pedestrian path that provides an excellent bird's eye view of the Hoover Dam. You can get to the bridge by parking in the lot off the Hoover Dam Access Road after passing through the security check. It does require quite a climb up steps from the plaza area to the bridge, but the effort is well worth it as this is the best view of Hoover Dam that you will find.
