A small but beautiful collection of historic trains. Shame we couldn't get into most of them apart from the postal one.

The museum is open weekends for train runs, and the display area is open seven days per week. Please visit website for schedule of departures; the ride is approximately 45 minutes.

We came on a Monday so no train rides whch was disappointing. Also their computer was down so we could only buy what we had cash for. Too bad. we would have bought more for our grandchildren. We hope to return when train rides are available especially if they are extending the line to go further.

We were there on a Monday, and the only part open was the outdoor viewing area. They are open Saturday and Sunday. There were to cars that you could enter, one was a caboose, and the other USPO Railway car, a mail sorting room on train tracks. There was a nice continuous loop video which told about the operation of... More

This was a wonderful moment to rest our feet. We had talked about this a few times before, so we finally hopped on board. We sat in the open air car, enjoying the sounds and smell of the desert air and the train engine. This is a very short ride that takes about a 3/4 hour from start to finish.... More

The younger kids seemed to enjoy the museum more. The train ride was nice; I just hated that some people in the back were talking during the history lesson. We rode in the covered car that was heated because it was windy and cold outside and had started drizzling. I'll visit again when they connect the other side of the... More

Well worth the trip to this attraction. The train ride is enjoyable and the museum exhibits are well laid out. There is also a small gift shop selling reasonably priced souvenir

While in town from Omaha visiting friends in Henderson, NV, my wife and I had a chance to visit the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Boulder City about 25 minutes away. It was a beautiful November morning about 9:30 on a Monday, so despite being open, we were the only visitors there, and somewhat "exclusive." They have a nice but... More

We've driven past this attraction a few times over the years but finally decided to check it out. It was a Sunday so the Sante Fe train tour was running - altho we did not take the ride. It seems that the entire place is run by Volunteers - and they're some of the friendliest you'll meet anywhere. The Museum... More

It's fun to go through the trains, I never knew about the Railroad Post Office til I went here, it was a treat. It's a must stop for train enthusist or children. They have a great model railroad they've been working on for ten years! It's quirky and awesome and in a railcar so its a train in a train.... More
