Hoover Dam is truly an Engineering marvel! Be ready to get some exercise walking around. We went on a sunny day, make sure to bring water and sun screen. The history of its construction is incredible. The visitor center they charge to enter, which is a bummer. Side note: stop by the Hoover Dam lodge, they have the building of... More

The addition of the new bridge has really taken the congestion out of the Hoover Dam traffic. There are several lookout spots and the signs are self explanatory. Free parking just a couple of hundred feet beyond the $10 parking area.

Going to the Hoover Dam was a last minute choice that I am glad we choose to do! There is a lot of history and interesting facts about this site that everyone should know something about! A great place for a stop, but be sure to bring your walking shoes.

The bridge is impressive, the dam is awesome. But don't miss the unprepossessing lake Mead overlook. The lake is as gorgeous and, unlike the dam or the bridge, the overlook was empty when we visited.

We took the deluxe tour. The tour of the dam and museum is an experience everyone should have. It is truly amazing and the views of the Colorado River and Lake Mead are beautiful. The lunch at the Casino was just average. You are given the opportunity to gamble there as well. It was very smoky, and the low point... More

My Husband and I visited Hoover Dam. The Dam its self is really to see. But the tour is not worth the price. It was only a half hour long, and we paid 30.00 a person. Nobody told us that we would not be able to see the whole dam, due to 911. When we paid, than we were told.... More

We highly recommend a combo tour for USD 30 - which combine visit of the power plant and inside the dam itself. The tour takes about an hour and was very informative and interesting, although we hoped to get a bit closer to technical installations. No advance booking necessary. Instead of paid parking in the parking garage, cross the dam... More

Extraordinary spectacle to experience! A real credit to the huge structure and size of the dam!! Well worth a visit for a morning trip to avoid extreme heat! Cooling stations along the dam so you don't overheat.

I can't speak for the tour, but the views of the colorodo river were nice. Nothing spectacular to me. The Dam itself is cool and very big. Worth a stop in and look if you're in proximity.
