Earlier this summer we went on a west coast road trip. While heading to Oceanside California we knew we had to try to visit the Hoover Dam. A boy were we glad we did! An amazing structure made the more so is the fact it...More

We have stopped here a few times over the years and always enjoy our experience, we always seem to learn something new about the dam, or its construction every time we visit. We parked on the Arizona side and walked over to the Nevada side,...More

Do not go here if you're afraid of heights, wish there was more information and explanation. Maybe even some random theories. I ended up googling up stuff.

Each and every time I go it is still a wonder. The tour below is a must do. You can stop and have lunch, you can walk across the bridge over the dam and you can stroll through the Pat Tillman bridge area.

Despite several trips to Las Vegas, I have never previously visited the Hoover Dam. It is absolutely worth the 30 minute drive. Rental cars are so inexpensive and the drive couldn't be easier. If you're on the fence about whether or not to visit, go!...More

Hi, there are several car parks at the dam itself so parking should be no problem. We spent about 4 hours at the dam as it is so interesting, so allow yourself plenty of time to see it all especially if you are going to... More

I'd also recommend renting a car, much cheaper, and much faster. Plus you can go when and where you want. The bus takes a long time to get all the people from the various hotels and the same on the way back. Drive to... More
