I came here with my niece and she loved it as there were some ducklings nearby. I felt a bit unsafe at times but it is a goodplace with a group of friends.

I thought I would go swimming here. When I arrived, I found the shore and the swimming area dirty. Yuk. There is a nice picnic area, though (away from the lake, to the left at the end of the parking lot).

We went to Goose Lake on a warm sunny day and enjoyed seeing so many people playing in the water, BBQing on shore and just lazing in the sun. Easy to find and so enjoyable.

Great wilderness oasis in Anchorage for swimming, sunbathing on warm, sunny days sandy beach on north shore. A bike trail wraps around the east side of the lake and links you to University of Alaska Anchorage Campus to the south.

I've taken my kids swimming a few times this summer and had a great time every time. It is clean and have lifeguards on duty. We have never had any issues with leeches or swimmers itch.
