This was much smaller than we expected! The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They tell you to get there at least an hour before the departure time but that is totally unnecessary. You end up sitting around and there is nothing to do there....More

What more could you ask for? This train line is timely, organized and clean. The staff is polite and informative. The depot is clean and the ticket staff informative as well. Overall great experience to the Spencer Whistle Stop. Beautiful trains too.

They provide very nice train arrivals and are organized with luggages. Easy and fast! Great experience all together. The train rides are a must! From Anchorage to Seward was even more scenic (even though it was less than half the time) than from Fairbanks to...More

We did a drive by of this attraction from the Anchorage tour trolley. The driver was very knowledgeable about the history of the railroad and settlement of Anchorage. Not terribly exciting but interesting for history buffs.

Mass confusion- you have to go to the depot to take any of the trains north or south. It's crowded, confusing, and all the workers seem pretty stressed.

We had purchased a tour for which you pick up your train tickets at the depot. The counter staff when providing us our tickets realized that the return ticket did not make sense. She called the tour company and re-issued the correct ticket. Very friendly,...More
