A short drive from Girdwood, 25 miles from Anchorage, this was a spectacular hike, that takes you into the valley, then up and over Crow pass, continue another mile until to see Raven Glacier, and with care can approach the base to see it up...More

Great hike but can be rough footing with large rocks and creek crossings. Hiking poles can be helpful. Blueberries and crowberries can be found. It took our group about 5 hours to do the 8 mile hike just past the cabin in the rain with...More

The Girdwood side is a good place to start the 23 mile hike with an over night in the chalet cabin- good day hike with a view of a glacier.

This is an incredible hike. Make sure you go the extra mile to see Raven Glacier. The hike is steep but short, and scenic from the get go.

Have hike up to the pass twice. Still need to do the whole trail. Raven glacier was beautful. Stayed at the cabin one night. It was July, but the outhouse was still snowed in.

We hiked from the Girdwood trailhead to Raven's Glacier and back, about 3.5 miles each way. This is a strenuous section, so beware. In any case, the scenery is incredible. I highly recommend this hike.
