Fished for halibut in the Cook Inlet. Awesome experience and the view in the inlet is spectacular! We had a clear day and could view 4 active volcanos! Able to view many otter as well that were feeding in kelp beds.

Beautiful!!!! Lots of ice chunks flowing by as the moving water begins to solidify for the winter. Saw lots of people trying to walk to the waters edge in crocs and runners. Wear boots!! Totally snow covered and cold and slick.

Great pictures at sunset. I also saw it from the train ride. Great experience. I recommend the train to Seward.

Be sure to take advantage of all the pull outs to stop and view the beautiful views of mountains and inlet. Beluga Point is especially pretty. Also look for Dall sheep along the rocky cliffs. Take your time and enjoy - we did.

Cook Inlet is a beautiful drive to Anchorage. It is the gateway to the north and south. It offers views of the mountainside in the distance.

It’s such a pleasure to drive down the inlet especially on a sunny day. Be prepared for construction stops, at least there is beautiful scenery to look at.

So pretty to see this Inlet from so many viewpoints in Anchorage and to watch the huge tide change. Great to learn about its history as well.

It's crazy to think that you can see Denali when it's 130+ miles away. We did! Found a parking lot between the water and the back entrance to the airport. Nice way to end our AK trip.

Second highest tide in the US. Easy to see from parks or restaurants. You drive along the Cook inlet as you head south out of Anchorage.
