I was disappointed that this is basically a long strip of nothing. There is one block of memorials but otherwise not even a play ground or shelter or benches

The western end of the Delaney Park strip was the start and finish location of the Mayor's Marathon/Half Marathon, so I made it a point to walk the length of the strip. It is definitely long but has a lot of grassy areas where you could see soccer and rugby games going on along with some nice monuments.

This is a long skinny park. It is one block wide and 4 to 5 blocks long. There is not a lot of shade or picnic tables and there are only a couple out houses for restroom facilities. It is a “activity park“, as it has ballfields, basketball courts, horseshoe pits, tennis courts, volleyball courts, a soccer/rugby/football field and several memorials highlighting historical events and significant people.

This is a park that is one block wide and several blocks long. There is a lot of wide open grassy area, Ball Fields, tennis and basketball courts, limited picnic tables and benches and very little shade.

This park is a beautiful park with several monuments in it and it has a great deal of history. It is not as large as the Mall in Washington, D.C., but it reminds me of that park. It is long and has a sidewalk around it. It is a very good place to walk. Enjoyed my walks around this park and the monuments.

Delaney Park is about 13 blocks long – it ranges from A Street to P Street and is a lovely green area very close to the city. It used to be the airfield for Anchorage (until 1932). They say it’s where the “locals come to play” as there are tennis courts, volleyball courts as well as softball and soccer fields and so much more. You can also have a wander around the flower gardens and relax. Something for everyone.

Love the park strip for walking when I’m near downtown Anchorage. Park strip stretches for multiple city blocks and includes a diverse assortment of things to see. Within the park strip you can walk through a rose garden, AK veterans memorial, MLK memorial and several grassy ball fields.

Delaney Park Strip is a park nestled between the city's Downtown tall buildings and the residential areas. One is able to see many snowy mountains in the background. There are quite a few memorials in the park. The park is essentially a large and a grassy square, and several streets surround it. There are sports fields and playgrounds also nearby. There is ample parking and admission here is free.

This is a long open park between 9th and 10th street. It extends for 14 blocks from East to West. There are several memorials inside this park. The MLK memorial with pictures, quotes, dedication marble stone and a bust. The Veteran Soldier monument with several granite stones with names of soldiers who dies in various wars. A nice green area.

This area has changed so much. I was really excited to take my 2 yr old son to the train. We used to play and climb on it as kids. It has been moved and there is now a fence around it. Delaney park is just some fields with a train surrounded by a fence :/
