Accessible by local Anjou bus. If you like zoos this is a must see. It's housed in an area with lots of limestone so it incorporates what a r e recce r ed to locally as "troglodyte caves". Many species are in residence. Sumatran tigers, Himalayan leopards, rhinos, giraffes, and a number of birds. You will walk through tunnels, cliff's and... More

A great fun day out! I have been to lots of zoos and it's upsetting to see so many unhappy animals. This bioparc is full of happy animals and every effort is made to make this a fantasy environment for them to live. It was a very pleasant surprise If only all zoos were like this!

This is how all zoos will be like one day. I've an aversion to zoos always have had since I was a kid mostly because the animals always looks so subdued and depressed. This place however make a real effort to integrate the animals both socially and environmentally. The setting itself is something of an attraction located in old limestone... More

The Bioparc was an amazing experience! I've never been to a zoo where you could get that close to the animals. It's located in an old mine, and the remnants have been incorporated into the animal's enclosures really well. I would really recommend this for anyone visiting the area, be it families, friends travelling together or even if you're on... More

The Bioparc is one of my absolutely favorite zoos and we visit every year. It's worth going just for all the beautiful plants, but of course the animals are the true stars of this show. The enclosures are brilliantly embedded into the landscape (a former stone quarry) and they have plenty of space to move about or hide if they... More

Ok where do I start. We spent 5 hours walking around here getting as close to the animals as is possible, even on a safari you're not as close normally. All the animals are very well cared for and have as much room to roam as possible. There is a route to follow but you don't have to but is... More

We visited the Bioparc with very few expectations but were blown away by the place. The exotic animals and the way they are displayed far exceeds any zoo in our experience. You almost feel that you're on safari because the habitats are so nicely laid-out and so large that the sense of being at a "zoo" is overcome. The aviary... More

While staying in Centre Parcs near by, we wanted to venture out for a day, take a picnic and do something other than activities on site. I had a look at nearby things to do on TripAdvisor and this little beauty came up. What an amazing place this is. We are lucky to have one of the best wildlife parks... More

From the beginning to the end, Bioparc is well worth seeing. The animals are not caged but are in enclosures where they have freedom to move about. There are monkeys roaming around sections freely. The big cats were amazing to see, it was as though you could reach out and pet them! The way the owners have used the cave... More
