For me the a Library is a place to Public place of Peace and Quiet SO Avoid this downtown location unless You truly are here to Visit! This isn't the library to get any studying or research completed. Too many side attraction as to the variety of characters and people. No you did pay roughly $4.50 per hour so Enjoy... More

There's not a lot of free or cheap things to do in the emerald city so going downtown to the "new" library is a great outing for people on a budget-with (or without) kids. There is always a line or people waiting to enter the library when it opens at 10 am. Most of them take the escalator to the... More

Super cool architecture, great free events and super helpful staff makes this a great downtown addition. True, it is a beacon for Seattle homeless, but the staff manages to keep everything running and comfortable.

The Seattle Public Library is an architectural gem in the heart of downtown Seattle. Definitely well worth the trip to enjoy the views. The structure is amazing from the outside, but being inside is where the magic of all that glass and structure comes through. The only downside is that with all that artistic space, the stacks can be a... More

The architecture alone is enough of a reason to visit this library, but there is more to offer than that. Make it up to the 10th floor to get a great view of the city out of the windows, as well as a view down the center of the building. The 4th floor is also very cool to see. On... More

Remarkable architecture and design, both interior and exterior. A quiet respite from walking and urban touring.

I am a native of Seattle and use the Downtown Seattle Public Library Regularly. The Architecture is great but other than that it leaves a lot to be desired. It might have a great book collection using the dewey decimal system and helpful staff but if you spend any degree of time actually inside the library it really needs an... More

This library is amazing. It has thousands upon thousands of books to read. It also has computers for personal use or to do a job search. It's so quiet. There are several levels to the library with easy access to each by escalators or elevators. Plus the architecture is amazing to look at.

If you love books and architecture this is a wonderful place. Aside from the obvious amount of homeless people it is a grand place to visit.
