Locals call it the toilet, when you visit and catch the various smells of the place you will get it. It's such a strange contrast, visually it's beautiful, the amazing lines and geometrical shaped go on for days. But the smell is like standing over a dead carcass that's been sitting in the hot sun, with flies and all. The... More

We heard it was a neat building to visit, so we wanted to check it out. You can't miss it from the street - what a structure! We went inside, up the escalators, checked out the various floors, books, activities. You could spend a lot of time there with access to computers, a couple auditoriums for speaking events, a retail... More

It was one of the largest library that I visit. It is a public library, so free of cost and must visit.

Eight years ago I visited this building and loved it. I wanted to see how it is holding up, and I'm glad to say it is a vital part of the city. It's fun to go to the top and look down the center. There's lots of natural light and many places to sit and read, use computers, have meetings,... More

Way, way too many people sitting in chairs and sleeping. Huge security force on site is regularly showing the ill behaved out the door. You will need a WA state ID and utility bill to get a library card to be able to access the very nice computer stations.

Lots of anonymous Amazon office blocks have gone up and are going up in Seattle. This is not one of them. It is a really terrific looking building inside and out. Check out the flooring detail inside. I went to use the toilet (rest rooms) and I had already noticed a lot of semi homeless / homeless coming into the... More

The library is absolutely stunning, not only from the outside but also from the inside. You can go up to the 10th floor and even buy some used books for $3. Lucky people of Seattle!!!

This library is beautiful and a wonderful resource. They host great events for adults and children, have a great assortment of resources and it is fun to just check out the amazing structure. Don't miss the book elevator.

This library is one of my favourite places to explore in Seattle. The exterior of the building is unique, as is the interior. There are several floors of books, including speciality media rooms. Head to the top floor and look down. Head to the red floor and explore.
