Loads of homeless mentally ill drug users in the streets around the mall. As a visitor I was too nervous to go out but tried this shopping mall. It was fine but as a uk person i was not used to so many security giards with guns!! What's going on...I thought Seattle was going to be a relaxing break after NYC!

Nice area during the daytime hours. For safety reasons I do not thing it would be safe to hang out there at night.

It is a small mall with Zara inside,it has a small food court as well with vegetarian food options.
A restaurant called Zuma( middle eastern) has very good vegetarian food and the best lentil soup i have had.

Mall not that big. With several shops. A food court. Link to the monorail. Activities provided outside, at the west lake park. Starbucks inside. Place to leisure.

This place is tiny. The outside is pretty this time of year with all the lights put up, but there are fewer than 10 shops total, along with a miniscule food area. If you're already heading to the monorail or doing more shopping across the street, it's not a waste of your time, but I certainly can't recommend going out of your way to get there.

I remember going to this sparkling new, bright, mall in 1988 with a big Disney Store, great food court and tons of fun shopping. Over the years, I'd return to the mall to eat and shop, when I worked Downtown. It was still pretty great. I loved taking the Monorail from Westlake out to Seattle Center. Then, in the 2010's, the mall started to change. The open-air feeling started disappearing. Shops started closing. The food court was gone. The whole mall started feeling claustrophobic with dark, uninteresting, store entrances only around the escalator. A handful of places to eat. Just meh. No longer the fun destination it used to be. (Not to mention the amount of drug deals, homelessness and crime happening outside the mall). Now Westlake Mall is nearly the entrance to the Monorail, for me.

There’s a lot less going on because of the pandemic, but there’s still a spot worth visiting in Seattle. There’s good shopping, and definitely good places to eat. There are enough things still open, and because there are less people, it can be quite nice to walk around the area. Nordstrom in open, and they have free masks and strong sanitizer when you walk in. Don’t let a little pandemic keep you from visiting Seattle.

Got trapped upstairs because the escalators were out of order and there was only one elevator with a huge line. Security would not let anyone use the escalator like a staircase and stopped people that were simply trying to walk downstairs. Pretty creepy not being able to get out. We finally managed to get the elevator after about an 45 minutes.

Very nice but not a lot of shops or anything of interest going on, I wouldn’t bother going back, Even the food selection was not very good

Almost every day we came by or stopped inside the Westlake Center mall. Besides the many stores (outlet and regular) and restaurants, the the Christmas decorations and Heart of Holidays outdoor activities still were attracting a lot of visitors.

This was also a great central transportation hub for downtown Seattle with monorail, Link light rail and streetcars options to get around.
