-If you like Japanese things you will find it here! Best and biggest Japanese grocery store in Northwest. You will find nice fresh produce, live fish, all kinds of food items you'll usually see in Japan. They have variety of rice. So if you like the Japanese rice, you should try the Sasanishiki, Koshihikari and other high quality delicious rice.... More

By far, the best part of this huge marketplace is a stop at the Ellenos Greek yogurt counter. Though there are other places in Seattle selling the yogurt, what made this one special was the wonderful salesman with the smiling face: Derrick Garner. He had all his customers feeling like they were special. Best of all, it's the most delicious... More

Uwajimaya is the almost Costco-size Asian grocery in the International District of Seattle. They don't sell in bulk, but the variety of selection and expansive area of the store is unparallelled in the pacific northwestern U.S. They have a huge selection of fresh produce, with an emphasis on specialty Asian fruits and vegetables such as fresh lychees and gai lon... This is a great place to go if you are looking for asian ingredients, produce, knick knacks, etc. There is a great variety of grocery items from various countries, as well as a section for kitchen tools, tableware, books, etc. They also have a good food court for a quick lunch stop!

I went here yesterday while visiting Seattle and discovered a huge selection of Japanese and Asian groceries, fresh food, kitchen gadgets, sake and a lot of other things. The only downside for me was that I am visiting and returning home by plane so could not really stock up on anything. There is an 'Asian' food court adjacent as well... More

When ever I visit this place I go Nuts!!! I was here a few days ago on my way home from Vietnam. I was smart enough to put 2 ice chest in my truck and I stopped by here on my way back to Montana and filled them up!!! I love the fact that most countries in S.E. Asia are... More

There is a wide variety of things to buy at Uwajimaya. If you're looking for prepared Asian food to buy, they have it. Great produce, they have it. Many Asian things that you won't find at regular super markets. I really like the many different gifts that they sell, including lots of ceramic ware. It's just a few blocks from... More

For visitors exploring Seattle's International District, Uwajimaya, a huge store with a Japanese focus, makes a great stop. Squeaky clean and well-maintained, the more than 35,000 square feet, holds Asian specialty products as well as a routine grocery section in the main supermarket. I am always amazed by the seafood selection. On a recent visit, I stared at grilled eel,... More

What a find! Just know that on weekends they do close the entrance from the village food court (which is near 5th ave. Light rail stop) so you'll have to thru the front part of the store. You're able to enjoy prepackaged sushi combinations without the hefty price.

We started our tour of the international district at Uwajimaya. this is a one stop shop for Asian food and goods. The seafood department is fantastic. you'll be amazed at the fish they have for sale. The can goods isle is stock with items we never heard of. And the number of brands of soy sauce is mind boggling. You... More
