We truly enjoyed the sushi making class. Fumiko was an excellent teacher! She had a very clean and well organized kitchen, offered tea as well as Japanese candies, and all of the sushi making experience needed to educate some beginners! The walk to the fish market was lovely, Fumiko shared her knowledge of the history of the area. The fish market was clean and had all the tools required to make sushi at home. The sushi instructions were easy to follow and more importantly, delicious! A great way to spend the late morning with my boyfriend and brother and his girlfriend. The small size of the class ensured everyone got to know one another and made it more fun! Highly recommend.

Chef Fumiko did an outstanding job teaching us how to make delicious Steamed Buns and Potstickers. She gave us really great instructions on how to portion our fillings and the pleating/pinching method. By the end of class, I felt pretty successful with both the Steamed Buns and the Potstickers. While we enjoyed eating our delicious creations, she gave us some history about both the Steam Buns and the Potstickers, and different flavor varieties we could make. I definitely recommend this class.

I had a great experience learning how to make sushi today! I highly recommend giving this class a try. Fumiko was very friendly and great at explaining the history of sushi. If I’m ever in Seattle I would do this again.

My favorite Christmas present. Super informative class with an approachable entry into making your own sushi. I’ve loved sushi, and have been afraid to make it myself, for a long time. No more! From the rice, to buying fish, to making rolls…this class gave me confidence to do it at home.

Our group had a wonderful time learning all the tricks to making a delicious sushi tray. The instructor had a way of not only making the class informative but fun as well. Highly recommend this class for all sushi enthusiasts.
