Lake Union itself was clean and beautiful with plenty of dining options. The fireworks show was lack luster. Unless you are right up on the water, which requires purchasing tickets, the only fireworks you see are the ones in the sky. You can not see...More

We stopped here for an early morning activity with our son as we were switching over time from the east coast. We took the Seattle Streetcar from one end of its track to the other end and then retraced one step back to the Lake...More

Accessible by public transportation. Especially enjoyed watching the sea planes take off and land. Colorful picture ops around the Center for Wooden Boats.

We walked the whole circuit - not as much to see as we expected but wouldn't have missed seeing the houseboats as such an iconic seattle thing. In hindsight think we should have cycled it rather than walked. It is though about 6 miles so...More

Lake Union has it all and its right downtown in Seattle. I love walking around the lake and eating at the many great restaurants. MOHAI is right on the south end of the lake and Gasworks Park is on the north end. One can rent...More

Such a great place! You can star gasze, enjoy sun rises and set, boat, paddle board, kayak, canoe, or simply swim! Access to gas works park, restaurants, 4th of July fireworks, and so much more! A must go to place!

We really enjoyed looking at the boats and house boats on the shores of Lake Union. Our only regret was the cold, rainy, and windy conditions preventing us from seeing the lake by kayak! Next time!!

This is a nice and relaxing area to walk. You should be able to see many wooden boats as well as kayakers.

Postcards of 100 years ago labeled Lake Union "The Heart of Seattle". It is somewhat shaped like a heart. But the phrase over decades grown in significance as Seattle has changed with Lake Union often the best mirror of those changes. From the commercialization of...More

Also, I don't know if you can "tour" the houseboats. I know we did a SLOW passby many of the houses along the lake and the one famous for Sleeping in Seattle movie, but as far as touring any of these, I don't think so... More
