Many artist's galleries, museums and outdoor art installations/fountains/sculptures make this a wonderful place to visit on a nice day!

The collective area that has the Space Needle, Chihuly Gardens, Space museum, the Mopop, monorail, the international fountain and the armory (and probably more.....)
All are within easy walking distance of each other and all worth a visit (I think there is a CityCard that is decent value and covers most for entry).
The armory has plenty of places to eat and clean rest rooms (making it worth a visit in isolation!).
You can spend as much or as little money as your budget allows with plenty of parkland and gardens for picnics etc.
Definitely worth a visit.

We were on a budget and already knew that most of the attractions in this area were beyond our price range, but it was just by our hotel, so we went there anyway.
Hungry, we soon found an indoor food court, with something to suit every palate. Friends had great fun building their own pizzas.
Outside, it was dark by the time we were full. Nice views of the Space Needle, from below, of course. Fun to wander round and see the outside of other attractions. Nice atmosphere. No worries about safety. Families and couples out to enjoy the evening, just as we were.

My wife & I made two visits to Seattle Center during our four days in Seattle: the first just to walk around & see all the activities/attractions it has to offer, and the follow-up to visit Chihuly Garden & Glass (our favorite stop around town) and to see the views from the Space Needle observation deck. There are lots of spaces within the Center grounds to simply relax & people watch, places to play & explore, and the Armory complex has a variety of dining & snack options (in addition to the food & drink vendors often dotting the Seattle Center grounds). There are also some interesting pieces of public art scattered across the grounds, some permanent & others changing. Seattle Center is a unique collection of cultural & entertainment & educational venues well worth the time to take in during your stay in the Seattle area.

My wife and I took our son here and a fun day. There is a lot to see and do here. The Space Neeedle, fountain and restaurants are all fun to experience. The Science Center was not great and not worth the price of admission.

Seattle center offers something for everyone. The Space Needle, Chihuli Glass and Garden, The Science Museum, the fountain and more. It is also the home of the Seattle festivals - can be fun but extremely crowded.

Nice variety of food offerings. Moderate prices. Pretty good atmosphere. Easy to get
food from numerous venues. Don't go during
Special events since it gets crowded and
service declines. Lots of seating.

As we walked around coming back from the space needle we came across this park with a huge water fountain in the middle and tons of kids having a blast.

How much time usually is needed to tour Museum of Pop Culture(MoPoP),Seattle and when is the best time of the day to visit?

I would say an hour at minimum but two or more hours depending on how long you want to stay in each section. I like to go early and try and beat any crowd that might show up.

How much time do I need to get to know the center? considering I want to the the basics (chihuly gardens, space needle, mopop)

What we did was split it over two days. The first evening we went to City Center at about 6:00 and went to Chihuly and purchased our Seattle City Pass there. (they also have other combinations available). We then went through Chihuly and went over to the space needle where we were able to get an 8:30 elevator to the top. We timed it so that we would be up on the observation deck at sunset (which was 8:50 that evening). It allowed us to get pictures in daylight, at twilight and after dark.
The second day we came back when MoPop opened at 10:00 a.m. (use the South entrance...less crowds). We were there until 12:15 and then took the monorail over to Westgate Plaza and walked the four blocks to Pike's Market and had lunch.
After lunch, we went through Pike's Market and down to the waterfront. Since our City Pass tickets included the Aquarium, we visited that and then walked down to the Argosy boat dock and got on a 4:30 cruise tour (also part of the City Pass). After the cruise, we went back up to Pike's Market and had dessert, walked back to Westgate and road the monorail back to Seattle Center. We were then able to walk around the souvenir shops and other stands around the space needle.
If you go to the space needle first, you can purchase the City Pass and reserve a time to go up in the needle (even for later in the day). I would strongly urge doing MoPop first thing in the morning because it was getting really crowded by noon.
Do I have to be on a tour to be able to attend the Boeing factory?

Yes, but for that, you will have to go to the Boeing factory, which is not at Seattle Center.
Can you take the monorail from Sea TAC to the Space Needle? Or from sea TAC to Pike Place Market??

Hi There
The monorail only has one stop. It travels between Seattle Center (that is where the space needle is) and Westlake Center (take about 10min). The Westlake Center is a large mall/office building in downtown Seattle. The Westlake center would be close to a lot of downtown attractions.
Westlake Center is a downtown stop of the Link Light Rail system (part of the Seattle public transportation system) which you can take from the SeaTac airport (it takes about 40min.)
If you look online you can find maps and pricing for these transport systems. They are very easy and well priced to use.
hope this helps
