There is so much to do in one location. For the older crowd over 40, it is interesting to see a monorail in daily use in a city as we thought it would be as children. Not at an amusement park but just standard transportation like a city bus. You can park by the waterfront, visit Pike Place, then jump... More

The monorail is a fun side trip in a small mall. It's only $2.25 to ride quickly to the Seattle Center. The views are ok and the ride quick but unique. Once is probably enough.

While waiting for our Space Needle time, we took advantage of this area. There are shops, food, entertainers and more. Great for walking around and taking in the local culture

Hard to beat the Seattle center as a locale for great stuff to do! Is effectively a giant park with tons of different museums, exhibits and eateries. Many a weekend there are festivals held here that are wonderful to take part in - example - we sauntered into a Hmong new year festival a few months ago and boy howdy... More

If you are visiting Seattle for pleasure, you should take a ride with monorail. It was built on 1962 and nowadays it passes through the Experience Music Project building on its way to the end of the line.

This is the park/plaza that hosts the Space Needle, EMP Museum, Chihully museum, Science Center, monorail stop, and probably a few others I'm forgetting right now. On a summer afternoon it also had a handful of booths with souvenirs and a live band playing. Great starting point to visit lots of attractions and walkable from the waterfront if you're willing... We boarded the monorail from the EMP to enjoy the ride and after we took off we were enjoying the city views only to have the ride end about 45 seconds later. That was it... the world's shortest monorail ride. Reminds me of the old Simpson's episode really. What a useless waste of space in the city.

Visited the Chihuly and Space Needle then took the monorail back to Nordstrom in Downtown. Worth the trip.

The monorail was pretty clean. The people that waited on you were not really friendly, not rude, just not friendly. The night person on the rail was grumpy!
