The Frye is a unique little museum which has the personal art collection of the late Charles and Emma Frye. The museum has good rotating exhibits, but their highlight is the Frye Salon. The Salon is a large room with the Frye's collection completely covering...More

This museum is small but so full of treasures from various periods. The native art was especially interesting to me. We would come back again.

The Frye Art Museum is a special spot in Seattle. Very few visitors to Seattle are even aware of it, although they should be. They have a very nice small collection. It is definitely worth visiting (several times) And the fact that it's free should...More

The Frye collection is a beautifully curated art museum and the best part is that admission is FREE! The architecture is refreshingly modern and the visiting exhibits are an interesting juxtaposition against the more classic pieces in the permanent collection. Great little cafe inside for...More

This is a free museum and we should appreciate what is available to all people through the gnerosity of others. The works are salon style which can be overwhelming. I didn't fall in love with any of the pieces but was certainly a nice visit....More

Enjoyed my visit to the Frye Art Museum. The Frye founding collection is over one hundred late 19th and early 20th century German paintings which is worth a stop alone. The paintings are displayed salon style. There were two other contemporary exhibits. As others have...More

Off the track but really good art gallery. Mixture of First nation, modern and traditional art work. An excellent cafe at this location as well. If walking it is uphill from Pioneer Square and downtown.
