    Neat little museum
This is actually just one part of Klondike Gold Rush NHP, the others being in Alaska. It's a small museum that gives an overview of the gold rush and how Seattle became a boomtown as a gateway to the north. Nice exhibits and free entry.

    Small but fascinating museum
I'll give this free museum credit for one thing above all: it really cemented my desire to go to Alaska! It's a small museum in near Pioneer Square that provides visitors a fascinating insight into the huge but short-lived Klondike Gold Rush, which really put Seattle on the map as a hub for stampeders from the east. It's definitely an interesting stop on your Seattle journey, particularly if you are in the area, which you should be for one of the underground tours!

    A hidden "Nugget"
Walked round the old town and spotted the museum. My wife agreed we pop in and about 1 1/2 hrs later we came out.. Fantastic displays of the Gold Rush and also impacts of WW2 on Japanese immigrants. Watched both films the museum offered on the Gold Rush. Got our weight converted to value in gold.... An absolute gem, educational and entreating really don't miss it.

This was an engaging and fun location to visit. It was perfect for us as we are in Seattle before embarking on our Alaskan Cruise. The exhibits were entertaining and the 22 minute long video is good.

Great museum. Well worth the time. Fun exhibits and full of information. The 20-ish minute film was well worth the time. Highly recommend

You can always expect the American National Park service to do things right, and they do here
Good introduction to the Knondike Gold Rush.
Interesting to see such early photos and film of the "event"

Added this stop to our trip because we’ve done many Klondike Derbies with the Scouts and wanted to learn more about the actual Klondike gold rush. This gave us a very informative presentation in a laid-back setting. The staff were fantastic. Make sure you catch the movie.

A free exhibition full of very interesting information. I especially enjoyed reading the individual stories of the people documented and the amount of gear that each prospector had to carry across the border with them.

We drove up from Portland on Sunday, checked into our hotel, and rushed over to the Museum since only open Wed-Sun 10-5, & we were flying home tues. Arrived at 4pm so only had an hour, could have spent several hours! Small but super well done and FREE. MUST watch the movie, preferably first - sets the stage for all the exhibits. Guided tour of Pioneer Square is only in the summer (ends Labor Day) so we missed that.

I loved this small, excellent museum's focus on the men AND women who made the trek to the Klondike...the effort, sacrifice, and risks of all, and disappointments of the majority, and the success of the few, The additional displays about the interment of Japanese families during WWII, and the loyalty and bravery of Japanese enlistees was revealing and moving.

We enjoyed our tour of this small National Park. Following the story of some of the Gold Rushers was really interesting.
