We stopped into this attraction because we were cold and ended up enjoying our visit immensely. The story of the Klondike Gold Rushers is fascinating and this is a really well curated museum. Add it to your "must" list!

A wonderful Park Service museum. Definitely go if you are about to leave on an Alaska cruise, or if you have time before or after an Amtrak trip (it is right by the downtown Seattle station). It is a small museum but really high quality. Interesting for both Alaska and Seattle history.

This "park" which is in an old automobile dealership building, is compact enough you don't have to spend the entire morning (or afternoon) visiting. The exhibits are interactive and informative, so even the kids should find it enjoyable.

This was a very nice and well done historic site. It is free and if you ae in the area it is really worth a stop. It has good signage and displays, you can gothrough quickly or slow if you really want to. It is also a nice break on a cold winter day - stop in to get warm... More

This museum was surprisingly really really good! And one of the best things was it was free to visit! Loved the lay out and the fact that you could follow the stories of actual people from the time and their gold rush journeys. There were enough interactive displays to keep our young kids interested. Definitely visit if you are interested... More

Your visit starts with a twenty minute movie which is most informative and sets the context for what you will see on your tour.. As you begin your walk through the exhibits, pick one of the characters and find out at the end of your trip how you did.

This is not an open air event, it is not on the docks, it is all indoor. That said, for me, it brought to life the Klondike, interactive, good photos, voice recordings, quiz for children, a rebuilt cabin, this really felt imaginative to me and I liked it a lot. Some weeks after visiting BBC had a Klondike TV programme... More

Always take my out of town guests here. It's self guided and very interesting. Gives you a break from entertaining and it's also FREE.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Complimentary to visit. We were glad we went in to have a look and learned some history of Seattle during the golf rush period. It's location was very central to get to other attractions e.g. Near to trains.

A well-laid out and fascinating museum giving a clear insight into the growth of Seattle at the time of the Gold Rush. Nicely presented.
