This small conservatory has the finest indoor cactus collection I’ve ever seen. The plants were from a large variety of families and well identified. A specially treat was the number that were in bloom. The conservatory has 5 rooms. Each room is independently climate controlled. so in a short time you can go from the desert to the topics. The... Absolutely gorgeous. The conservatory hosts an impressive collection, and the surrounding park is just magnificent. Take a walk and feel yourself unwind. Truly a spot of beauty.

One end is the dry plants hall and the the other has the jungle plants - worth the the trip if you're in to plant life. Near the Asian Art Museum. Wonderfully curated. Free, but please leave a donation - it's chronically short of funds. Kids and up will love it.

Volunteer Park is one in a string of charming little parks designed in 1800s Seattle by the (NY Central Park-famous) Olmsted brothers. It's a lovely oasis in the middle of busy, chaotic neighborhoods in the Capitol Hill area of the city. You can visit until 10pm, enjoy the grass- & tree-covered grounds, the dahlia garden & the former water tower,... More

This is a treasure. The park is pristine and the conservatory an absolute delight. It made me want to go home and create beautiful garden spaces. The orchids were my favorte.

This was a cool tower where you can climb up several stairs to the top observation level and view the Space Needle, Seattle Downtown Skyline, Bellevue Downtown, etc. Easy climb for adults and kids. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area, and it's free!

I was taken to the conservatory by my cousin who is a plant enthusiast (I am not). But, the range of unusual plants that are cultivated in this small space was remarkable and I learned a lot in an hour under glass.

We stumbled upon this by chance but it is definitely worth a visit. It hosts a lovey collection of plants, flowers, orchids and cactus. Very well maintained and showcased.

This conservatory has been a favorite place to take visitors from out of town. My wife has a green thumb so we have many plants inside and outside, but the only place in Seattle that always has such beautiful orchids is this Volunteer Park Conservatory. But on the east end there is also a fine collection of cactus. We enjoy... More
