The best part of this beach visit was Salty's restuarant which has an amazing view of Seattle. Hardly much of a beach at all.

Take the water taxi across Elliott Bay to West Seattle, walk a mile or so down along the edge of the Bay and enjoy amazing views back toward the Seattle waterfront. Check out Lady Liberty across from the Alki Bakery.

If you have a car, this is a great way to get a full view of the Seattle skyline from the West. Very few of the old bungalows left and we were told the good bakery is gone, all in favor of new condo development....More

Walking trails along teh beack. You can inline skate and bike it too. A few cafes and shops along the route. Awesome views looking back at Seattle skyline!

Oh how the traffic sucks on a sunny day. I think it's because Alki doesn't see that many sunny days and all the nerds living here want to get the last chance of sun for the year. Parking realllly sucks. Only one decent place to...More

The ferry dock is down near pioneer square so I’d take a bus to nearer the ferry terminal. Then hop in the ferry to West Seattle. Passengers only. D
