Want to go to a romantic and picturesque site? Yeah, go here during the summer and never want to leave. Has walking and bike path (about at least an hour or two roundtrip walk end-to-end).

I went out for one of the very low tides and found moon snails and their egg casings all over the place. Fantastic.

The views from Alki are the best to be had of Seattle. There are great resturants, people watching, a sandy beach that still allows bonfires I believe and pavement for rollerblading.

I went to Alki beach on the recommendation of my Frommer's travel guide. Overall, it was a bit disappointing. The shops/restaurants are really limited. My wife and I did happen to see a sea lion lounging! Certain parts of the beach did have a good...More

We went to Alki Beach on Friday during our week in Seattle and noted that the beach is transitioning from a week-end retreat of small homes and colorful shops to one of condos and traffic congestion. It was larger than I expected so that a...More

Ok, so I LOVED roller skating as a kid. In fact I had my birthday parties at the local skating rink from ages 6-11. I mainly liked it because my brother hated it and fell all the time. So when I was invited to go...More

We took a water taxi and rented bikes at that same spot. The ride to the Alki beach trail was short and safe :)

My boyfriend and I have walked our dogs randomly around midnight. We saw quite a bit of people walking around. But like anywhere I would watch for safety. When it gets warmer I expect there will be even more traffic.
