The guide Alex was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and the native plants and there uses The trail was not difficult there is some climbing but there are some steps on the way up. This is just short of 2 miles, but...More

This was a great hike and float. Our tour guide had so much energy and information to share. There were parts that were steep but everyone with us did fine.

I took this as an excursion from the Princess Cruise. I guess this tour company is the same one as I took, judging from the color of boat and life jackets. Our group was small group, less than 10 in number. The hike is moderate,...More

Our guide Zach was exceptional..His love of the area was evident and loved his explanation about the glacial landscape. Not an easy hike, lots of climbing up and down, but Zach made sure we got lots of rest stops along the way. Saw bald eagles and...More

I'm not sure anything was more fun than our hike along the Chilkoot Trail with Becca as our guide. From a scenery perspective, this feels like walking through Middlearth. The hike is moderately physical, however a couple that joined us with an older (70s) gentleman...More

Our very knowledgeable guide, Zach, led us on an wonderful hike. Zach went into great detail explaining how the area was created and I left with a better understanding of what happens after a glacier retreats and a forest "moves in". Four of us traveling...More

Our guide Bob was quite knowledgable and friendly enough. I respect anyone who takes pride in their work and shares their wisdom on the Alaskan hinterlands; although he was a bit grumpy and unnecessarily snapped at a fellow hiker for picking more than the two...More

Our guide Zach did and amazing job of leading us through the resin forest terrain and river float! This would be strenuous for older folk who aren't in shape. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

Our families are trying to do this excursion together. There are 13 of us in total. We booked thru the Disney Cruise line (for 6/8/2017), but half way thru booking (one room at a time) you apparently got booked. So half of our group is at one time , and half of us at another. Is there any way to fix this so we can all go together? It would be very much appreciated. ~Joan

There is more benefit to doing this hike in a smaller group. That way it also becomes a better learning experience too. The guides are well-trained and very knowledgeable about the Alaskan ecosystem too. I book groups trips... More

I believe you could. But They said they would like to have a group less than 10. You may negotiate with them before you sign up. I hope they accommodate your request! Good luck!

NO, not even close. Its a short 2 mile hike. The full trail is a major multi day undertaking. This was an enjoyable cruise excursion!!
