A good place to stretch your legs but it's mostly walking along the water along a camp ground. Interesting to look at the various caravans, etc. Pretty good playground (with good free wifi) about half way along.

I walked from "downtown" Seward to the harbor along the Waterfront Park. Beautiful scenery and a rocky beach made for a great evening walk!

Traveling the Alaska means lots of time in cars, trains, and busses. Staying in a rental home on 5th Avenue. This nearby park has a great playground for kids - and a skatepark (although we didn't have a board), and walking path along the shore....More

Very nice park for families to walk around and take good pictures or hang out! The views are stunning and it is safe for all ages.

This is THE place to camp in your RV or tent in Seward. There are quite a few water & electric (50 amp) sites for $40/night, and dozens of dry camping sites for $20/night. Potable water is available in a couple locations in the park,...More

First, my biases: we are usually tent campers/backpackers that seek out wooded and isolated campgrounds. We rented a small RV to do an interior tour of Alaska. So, this campground is really the only game in town. It is within walking distance of downtown or...More

When we drove into Seward, we visited the visitor information place. They directed us to camp at the waterfront city campground. We usually would prefer camping in more of a remote place like a national forest. But we thought why not try it for a...More

We stayed in our Motorhome on the beach and saw whiles, otters and seals. Very nice. Camp host was amazingly helpful.
