The chief reason why I came to Tucepi from takarska was to escape the crowds. This is Tucepi's largest beach and it IS a bit more crowded than the second one, but it was still bearable for me - as it also had a nice shaded part and lot of places one could get the ice cream, drinks, or buy something to eat. It's also easy to get the sunbeds.

Great little beach. Shallow slope, ideal for kids and perfect for snorkelling with lots of pretty fish. Sea shoes necessary though as the beach is stony. The beach is quite narrow but even in the height of tourist season we found a space to squeeze in. The beachfront has all you'll need (showers, changing places, bars and restaurants) and also had entertainment on some evenings.

Good beach, a lot of activity, clean beach and water. Recommend to wear bath-shoes because of the stones. Several options at the beach; rent beds and umbrellas or stay under the trees for shadow. Easy to buy some food from the beach-promenade, and to buy needful things.

No,we haven’t been this year, however, we have been there several times. It has become my second home. The pensions (B&B’s) as well as the Hotel Tamaris and the Hotel Laurentum are great. Many fabulous restaurants and bars along the beach. The beach is not sand; it is small rocks so you have to wear water shoes which you can purchase there but the Adriatic Sea is absolutely beautiful and clear. There are many flights to Split which is a 45 minute drive from the airport.

Great place to vacation.

Motorized items should be banned from this beautiful children friendly beach. Close to many islands but transport to those islands should be taken as far as possible from this stunning beach.

First and foremost, the quality of water is amazing and absolutely stunning.
It’s clear so you want to jump right in right away.

The not so funny thing is the space of the beach. The beach is crowded and full of ppl.
If you want to catch a place in the shadow part, you have to get up early (btw 6 and 7 am) and reserve it. BUT it doesn’t necessarily mean that you will find your towels at the place you have left them.

Over the day, more ppl are coming and so you end up lying right next to someone, body to body.
It might feel uncomfortable because of the feeling that someone is invading your personal space.
Families with kids are having a blast because you can let them enjoy themselves without being worried constantly.

Hungry souls have a lot to options choose, right around the corner since the beach is a few kilometres long.

To summarize all. If you like crowded and loud beaches with a lot of kids, you will have a blast.

If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing beach, it the wrong place for you.

The beach is absolutely beautiful and peaceful, if you visit it at 4 am. The beach is full of towels already at 8 am, and you really need to search space for even one towel. The water is clear and clean, but you need to swim further from the beach, otherwice you don't have room to do anything else than stand in the water. I believe that this is common during the tourist-season, but the beach may be more quiet if you visit it outside the season. I also wonder why must there be so much noise? The corn-sellers, game halls, the hotels, you can't hear the sound of nature at all.

For sure OK when you love a crowdy beach with a lot of skin cancer potential. the locals are fighting to bring their own towel at the right strategic position in the early morning. If you feel that a noicy atmosphere is pleasure's; you get enough of that every few steps.
Let the above not influence your decision to come here. The food is for sure good and affordable, and the alcohol is cheap.

My friend and I stayed here 22nd to 29th May. It took 2 hours to get there from Split airport, for us this wasn't an issue as we didn't have children but for those with a family I should imagine this may be an ordeal after the flight. One of the guys on reception does need to develop his customer service skills, the odd time we needed advice he came across as either arrogant or disinterested, however the remainder of the staff were lovely, especially the bar and waiting on staff in the restaurant. The hotel was always clean, yet the food whilst frequently replenished was repetitive to the point I was weary of it by day 5. There was entertainment on 2 evenings, sadly neither 'acts' were up to much.

Within the hotel grounds is a children's play area, plenty of slides, swings etc suitable for different age groups, there is also an hours evening entertainment for the children which they all seem to enjoy.

The first few days were more relaxed for us, but as more families arrived it began to feel a little claustrophobic, with the majority of the clientele being German, however most were sociable and attempted to interact with us in English. We opted to go the beach most of the time, you do need to hire a sun lounger due to the pebbles, the fee being 50 Kuna per lounger if you wanted an umberella, 40 Kuna each without one (40 kuna equates to £5). As the week progressed the offer of water sports began to materialise such as para gliding, the banana type rides etc yet we stayed in the bottom corner of the beach so tended not to be disturbed too much. By the way, if you intend going in the sea, get yourself some of those jellie footwear as you will lose flip flops, obviously they won't stay on in the water and honestly, you can't walk on the pebbles without something on your feet. You can purchase them there, there's plenty of shops that are only a 5 minute walk away along the prom, they charge 50 kuna for them, well worth just over a fiver. If you're a smoker, cigs are between 25 - 29 Kuna a pack of 20, so that's about £3

We did go to Omis on one day, get the local bus, this cost 15 kuna to Makarska, oh and visit there for a day, when you get off at the bus depot just cross over, walk straight ahead and within 10 mins you're at a wonderful marina, it really is fabulous so please go, you won't be disappointed. Anyway, you jump the next bus from there to Omis, pay the fare for there at the kiosk at the depot. I think it was 148 Kuna for the 2 of us yet it's a return ticket so that's quite reasonable. It takes about 40 minutes. Again, well worth a trip out. The views you see on the journey are spectacular, Croatia really is stunningly beautiful. If we had been there longer we would have definitely gone to Plitvice Lakes which is a national park, but from Tucepi it would have been a 10 hour day.

I think that will do but if you would like to know anything else please feel free to drop me a message and I will get back to you.

Happy holidays, safe journey and don't forget the high factor sunscreen and a silly hat 😅

A good mix of shade and full sun Lots of seating. Quite quiet out of high season. Possible for swimming even in early October.
