The place is a dump and the vendors in the shops are pretty aggressive in a fake Aloha passive way.

You'd think you were in the third world with how they try to pull you into the shops to get you to... read more

A good walkable shopping area. Part of it was originally a hotel that guests would stay after getting off a cruise or steam ship. Has a wide variety of shops and galleries. Live music some evenings. Nice coffee shop and ice cream as well.

You'd think you were in the third world with how they try to pull you into the shops to get you to spend money. The little Brazilian gal selling the 'miracle wrinkle cream' starts out complimenting people and then she goes for trying to give...More

With three daughters and two grand kids this was the place to shop for everything the wife wanted. Specialty shops and adventure tours included. Lunch with the ocean view was nice, cold beverage while the wife shopped was an added bonus.

I enjoyed the shops, galleries and especially the little coffee shop that served the best frappe I've ever tasted. Spent most of the afternoon in the back of Inn watching the waves and enjoying some peace.

Lots of shops including galleries, clothing, gifts, coffee, souvenirs etc all walkable. Primary building use to be the first hotel in Kona where steamships brought tourists.

It is very much designed for tourists and quite interesting but the shops do not provide a whole lot of interesting shopping. Many of the shops were fairly tacky selling junk, with a few exceptions. Could be vastly better.

Went by car with my wife. Shops mainly for cruise boats. Much of the same, and a limited selection. With Walmart near by, this area is nice for a walk.

Its about a 15 minute drive. I have always rented cars there, its very affordable rentals and lots of free parking available across the street from the Village. I would guess that any of the resorts there have a free... More
