We stayed across the street from this beach, although small, it was so beautiful to swim in, the turtles swam by my feet often and I body surfed every other wave in. Gorgeous

We were fortunate to stay across the road. The beach is small with limited parking but great to have sand and good for both swimming and playing with body boards in shore break. The wave she can 'dump' but not a big issue - we...More

A nice beach that is close to town. It has a lifeguard and a fair amount of shade. Like most beaches on the Big Island, the beach isn't huge, but the sand is really good.

Congested beach right off of Ali'i drive. Could barely swim without bumping into people. Lots of way better options a short drive away.

Not sure how this beach keeps top billing in the guidebooks. This is anything but secluded. It is pretty, but PACKED.

This is a small sandy beach with big rolling waves crashing in on the shore. Many were having an absolute ball with their boogey boards. The beach due to its location is very crowded so not our favorite. Better beaches north of the airport for...More

Great, easy access, spot for snorkeling and/or surfing, or SUP. Could get a bit busy and it might pose a safety risk, if snorkeling / surfing people do not observe safety distance recommendations from life guards. Great spot to see most marine life in Hawaii...More
