Description:

From our factory on the slopes of Hualalai Mountain's bountiful Kona region...

From our factory on the slopes of Hualalai Mountain's bountiful Kona region on the Island of Hawaii comes the one and only Original Hawaiian Chocolate(R).

We are the first to grow, hand-pick, sun-dry and process only Hawaiian grown cocoa beans, non-blended to assure purity and quality.

The result is a delicious single-origin Hawaiian chocolate of distinctive texture and taste.

The OHCF farm and factory tours are offered Wednesday mornings at 9:00am and Friday mornings at 9:00am. It is a one hour walking tour of the orchard and factory and of course, includes chocolate sampling! Bob conducts a fabulous tour ... it's full of information about every step in the chocolate making process, from growing the trees to molding each handmade delicious bar.

Please go online to book your tour for Wednesday or Friday. Chocolate Shoppe is open Tuesday through Friday 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM. Chocolate is Aloha!

The chocolate factory was on our list of food tours of the Big Island. It was hard to find but definitely worth it. It was raining so we didn't get tour tour the orchard. We huddled under a covered area and heard an excellent lecture on the history and cultivation of cocoa. Later we toured some of the factory. We... More

We had a thorough and very informative tour guided by Bob. The chocolate is delicious and we all made purchases. This is a good tour for school age children as well.

We had an amazing experience! Steve ford and the lovely assistant Keri gave an amazing tour and we would strongly recommend visiting the factory. Being able to see how the chocolate was made and then being able to buy the bar at the same place it was made was very unique. I've never gone to a chocolate factory and then... More

I was really looking forward to this tour with my 12 year old who loves chocolate as much as I do. However it was ruined by a family with an unruly preschooler and parents who failed to do their job and remove the child from the situation. We could not hear over this kids rude behavior. He was playing with... More

So worthwhile! This was entertaining and informative and tasty. Bob the farm owner and Fernando? are great guides and very welcoming and fun. The smell of cacao beans drying in the sun is heavenly 😊 I would highly recommend this tour to anyone and especially farm geeks. T&R

Very informative tour around a cacao plantation and the chocolate factory. Spoiler alert: forget all about Willy Wonka. It's not that dramatic or that big but only if you compare this factory to the one in the movie. It's impressive and interesting in its own right nonetheless. Be ready to walk around and learn a bunch of interesting facts about... More

This is a must stop for everyone. A family run business that know what chocolate is all about. Walk and see raw item, get hand on experience of feeling and smell. This is the real item, high end product. About 1.5 hrs. Meet the wife and enjoyed the time we talked and exchanged ideas on Tribal Chocolate.

I never realized chocolate was so labor intensive and I have been on a chocolate tour before. This was a really good learning experience from the picking to the processing of chocolate. We got to go out to the cacao trees and see the pods in the different stages on the trees. Bob the owner is extremely knowledgeable and was... More
