Went for a long walk along the river however it was a grey cold day.even so it was beautiful and to get there we walked through a beautiful park with stunning autumnal colours. We are going back next summer and will revisit this historical river.A lovely place to visit.

I had a long walk around the Danube Rover and enjoyed it very much. It is relaxing and peaceful. There are various ships that you can see there and enjoy the scenery. Usually during the summer periods there is some sort of an art colony that creates wonderful sand figures and they stayed even in October. Loved it!

We had a great drive and managed to take in a lot of beautiful scenery. Bulgaria is definitely a place I would recommend visiting. The people are friendly and welcoming

There is a walk long the side of the river, although it feels more like a quayside. There was an exhibition of sand sculptures there when I visited, which is worth seeing.

We had a very nice walk along the Danube River. When we were there they had done sand sculptures for the Olympics. There are places to sit and eat, also a playground for kids.

If you enter Bulgaria by car you will probably end up passing through the river and therefore cross a country border. You can also go to a boat tour down the Danube.

We crossed the railway line and went down the steep steps and walked a mile along the Danube. There was a hotel tied up. Lots of barges. There are lots of pontoons, cranes, industry and country park all rolled into one. Stopped for a cold drink and ice cream.

Walking along the river is a relaxing, easy stroll - a good way to take in fresh air and enjoy the quiet.

The walkway was reasonable although further upstream towards the port it got tricky and seemed to be purely for commercial maritime traffic. Barges and the odd cruise boat moving along the river are interesting to watch.

Not the romantic Danube of "Blue Danube" fame but a commercial river with ports on both the Bulgarian & Romanian sides Lots of moored barges But still the Danube
