This is an easy place to find as it is right off the highway. There is a small gift shop staffed by park rangers before you walk up the hill to the house. You can explore the entire house, even climb up into the cupola...More

I did the Mt Wanda hiking trail well worth it. Amazing views from the top of mountain. Fun trail great for morning walks or to jog. I can't wait to to go back!

An easy close trip. Very limited parking. Make sure and walk around the entire grounds area. There is also another building way in the back that is a quick stop.

The John Muir National Historic Site sits on the corner of two busy streets on the south side of Martinez, California. But the way the property is set up, you can feel like you are far from the city. The Visitor Center has very good...More
