Visited the lake around early afternoon - it was peaceful and the views were amazing. It is so great walking around it and just enjoying the natural beauty all around.

Brilliant place to cool down after a hot day on the mountain. Whilst very busy still plenty of personal space around you. When you first get in the water it is so cold but once you get used to it it's so refreshing.

The lovely lake in Zell is a treat in Summer. But in the depths of a really cold winter the lake takes on a completely different facade. Our trip coincided with a really cold spell with brilliant blue skies and the lake was completely frozen over. This allowed people to walk from one side to the other and for skating... More

Lake Zell is beautiful to walk round ,and with the mountains as backdrop, it is hard to beat. If you plan to walk round the lake it is 8 miles. The side of the lake at Zell am See is the most picturesque, as you can walk beside the lake.At the bottom there is a lovely restaurant next to a... More

The lake is beautiful, we walked around it as a break from snowboarding and really enjoyed the views and peacefulness. Although there is a signed route all the way around, the path does leave the lakeside for a while before rejoining it again shortly after. There are a few cafes and other places to stop if you want food/drink. There... More

There was not much activity on the lake, as the summer activities begin by the end of April. However walk around the lake is good, with stunning views. Paddle boats were available with The Grand Hotel.

As we were on a skiing holiday we really only saw the lake close up at night, quite pretty. But we had a late transfer out on our last day so took the opportunity to have a walk and it was beautiful. There's a cycle path and a footpath by the lakeside that's well signed and goes all around the... More

A lovely lake to walk round. Places to stop off for drinks or food. Plenty of points of interest along the route. Very well signed. Almost 12 km. we walked round in about 2 1/2 hours including a stop for coffee. Lovely views of the mountains. The one side of the lake the walk follows the lake side , on... More
