What a charming little museum with so much interesting information on the way country people used to live. The perfect place to go when weather is unstable. Very friendly museum staff.

We visited the museum a few years ago but unfortunately on our recent trip the museum is closed, there is a sign on the door about issues with building standards so doesnt look like opening any time soon.

Really nice welcome however the content was a bit limited. Some interesting history re the development of the area and Zell am Zee, skis, boots and local natural resources. Very intersting Joanna Lumly lookalike displaying local costume!

Lots of interesting details about the area dating back hundreds of years --- It would be even better if there were more explanations in English... A surprise on the top floor.... skis , poles and boots from way-back-when !

Joyful to learn more about Zell am See. So many big mudslides over the years, a place you must visit.
