There are many walking trails around Mayrhofen, many involving strenuous climbs into the mountains but others that are much easier. We generally found the hiking trails to be well made, well marked and well sign-posted. We walk reasonably quickly so always found the times indicated to be much longer than we took, but noticed that as others were slower, the... More

We have attempted several walks and even with a small child in tow and adding an extra hour to the suggested times, it has taken longer. The walks are so beautiful though, so in good weather, it really doesn't matter!!

A lot of the trails are marked very clearly. Some of them might be a bit to steep or a bit to.. erhm... adventurous... but we loved our stay and... More

Easy walks along the river near to hotel. Lovely views up in the mountains, although cablecars were expensive. Very good value on the trains.

This is a great place both for one day hiking and longer hikes, we have done both. If you want a longer hike, try the Berliner höhenweg, that will take you up in the mountains for several days with lovely but sometimes steep hiking.
