The video is awesome and the exhibits help you understand the wildlife in the park. You can also plan some great places to picnic, hike or camp.

In my opinion, a good visitor's center provides a nice overview of the park's main features, a clear and helpful map, an interesting welcome video, and some fun activities for the kids while the adults are looking at the map and chatting with the rangers/volunteers....More

Some typical exhibits, more for the kids, and a couple of volunteers who were eager to help and inform They were so eager, you had to thank them a few times as you walked away or they would have talked and talked and talked.......

A good visitor center with the history of the area and what to see/do here. the theater here showed a very interesting movie of the area and you could get the feel of being in on the bison round up!

We found 3 different Black Hills and Custer SP visitor centers. This one was very good. Stop at any you see on the roads.

You can contact the State Game Lodge which is located near there and ask them, or the Custer State Park Reservation Center. I know there is a campground there also, as well as a motel.
