Great music

Each time we walked by and stopped in they had great music playing. There is not much seating, most of the floor space is for dancing. Drinks were averagely priced for the area.

We always end up at Famous Door! This is my favorite place in NOLA. My husband and I spent hours sitting on a bar stool listening to live music during our trip last week. The Junction is our favorite band- Thursday-Sunday night. Fabulous music and atmosphere!

We recently stopped in to enjoy some live music and a couple drinks. The band was absolutely incredible, but the drinks were a bit pricey. Much better deals to be found as far as drinks go but it was definitely worth hanging out for an hour or so taking in the music. This place is a bit of an icon... More

Walked in for a quick drink and ended up staying 3 hours, Happy hour 2 -1 always a bonus. The band was great and the compare entertained while they took breaks. Singer came round taking requests which the pumped out tirelessly. Great cover band and full of energy. Well worth a visit in Bourbon Street

We popped in to hear the afternoon live music and the 2 for 1 beer special. Band was great and had the crowd involved. Beer was cold but not 2 for 1 where I live! HA! $16 for 2 Coronas....anyhow, good atmosphere for a bar. Night time looked quite lively too! Nice bartenders with friendly security. Again, stop in for... More

This place has been hit or miss over the past years. We heard good live music and gravitated here. The band was playing cover music but they were doing it REALLY well. So we stayed. It's not a hip hop club any more.

I just visited NOLA, and just had to make a trip down to Boubon Street,as it had been years since I had been there. My buddy and I had stopped in a couple other places during our visit, and ended up stopping and staying in this bar,as we heard a good band playing inside. After my bud had had quite a... More

Definitely go here to sing, dance, and have fun with the band. Ended up here every night at some point. Lively crowd, good music and no problem walking in with grenades or hurricanes from another spot. Shot girls weren't pushy either. Definitely THE SPOT to go to for fun.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
